Call for Papers Released!
The Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA) and the IUCN/SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group (TFTSG) are pleased to announce the release of the Call for Papers for the upcoming Symposium on the Conservation and Biology of Tortoises and Freshwater Turtles, generously sponsored again this year by Zoo Med. This is the 8th annual conference hosted by the TSA, and has become the world's largest gathering of tortoise and freshwater turtle biologists, turtle enthusiasts, and captive breeding specialists in the world. The Call for Papers can be found on the TSA website and includes information on special sessions, the poster session and travel grants available to presenters. The deadline for abstracts and travel grant applications is June 15, so don't delay!

Radiated Tortoises in the News
Team TSA's recent trip to Madagascar generated a lot of attention for the rapidly disappearing radiated tortoise (Astrochelys radiata). The press release, which was written in partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society, can be found in the press room of the TSA website. This release was picked up by a variety of news outlets including National Geographic, Discovery and Science Daily. |
